Nah. It's a satire of all horror tropes, not just Evil Dead.

You do realize this movie was a satire of horror movies and pays homage to several horror movies chief among them The Evil Dead, right? I mean having the cellar, Deadites, Angry Molesting Trees would have been a dead giveaway. Hell, the killer Unicorn should have been a giveaway that this movie is satire.
shareHELDERUTO - perhaps you could give a more detailed summary of what you felt was wrong with this film....i certainly felt it had some great things going for it-
1) turning the horror genre upside down
2) a good nod of the head to previous films (evil dead etc)
3) a great "what the ???" moment at the end
4) reasonable acting performances but they werent exactly given much nuance to work with
all in all i found it enjoyable and watched it again recently and was still entertained.
