Don't waste your time. This movie is what my cat moves around with his paw in his litter box. In other words, complete and utter *beep*

Raimi has nothing to do with this movie. Joss whedon and Drew Goddard wrote and produced/directed it.

I freaking loathe this movie. Hate's not a strong enough word. But, enough other people seem to like the sorry thing, so you should probably see it for yourself. Just be aware that it's not actually a horror movie, it's a comedy that uses horror movies as a thing to satirize, and if you actually like horror movies it's going to insult you. Nothing scary about it, and completely unrealistic.

and completely unrealistic.

Now that is hilarious. Who expects realism from horror movies?

A horror movie has to at least be somewhat realistic, in the context of the world in which it's taking place. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for example. I mean, I know there are no zombies, but you have to make a zombie movie fairly "realistic" in the sense of a zombie apocalypse.

Cabin in the Woods operates as a comedy... because that's what it is. People who like it are actually comedy fans, not horror fans. They're people who like junk like The Toxic Avenger or Zombieland. You want jokes, not scares.

In what sense? And in what sense does a zombie apocalypse accomplish this that Cabin in the Woods doesn't?

Nah. There's plenty of horror in it. And yes, it does have jokes because horror and comedy have been blending together for many years. Freddy, Chuckie, Ghostface, Evil Dead II, Romero had some comedy in his Dead movies, even going back to the Universal Horror movies. They had comedy in them.

Horror fans know that horror has had comedy in it long before they were ever even born.

Incorrect. We want, and through horror movies we get, both.

If you watch with an open mind (and pay attention to the opening section- V important) i think you will be surprised and entertained

I'm surprised i didn't hear about this until after it was already long gone and pretty much forgotten.
