Saw an early screening last night

I was actually really looking forward to this. Love the cast and the trailers made it look like a fun time. While I didn't hate it, it certainly is dissapointing considering what it could've been. Cast was good and there are some pretty fun action scenes, but the story is a mess and the script itself was not very good. It was trying way too hard to be a Guy Ritchie-esque type movie and didn't pull it off as well as some other movies have. There were some funny moments, but there was also a lot of the humor that just either tried way too hard or didn't work at all. Third act also got way too silly and there was some pretty horrible CGI in the climax.

5/10.

Just came back from screening. Don't agree with you at all. This movie didn't try to be Guy Ritchie or Tarantino. It was more like Deadpool in general.

Movie was fun with packed cast and amazing cameos. The visuals of the film are fantastic- soaked in a beautiful neon glow. While soundtrack is fine but not too memorable outside of the film. It's filled with funny and memorable moments. The action is awesome, well-shot and clear, which is no surprise coming from the guy who directed John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2.

Snake:Don't Open!

It's a solid 7.5 or 8 out of 10 from me.

Totally concur with OP. Guy above sez more like Deadpool but that movie breaks the 4th wall and this one never does.

I went in really wanting to like this movie, but it was pretty bad. They tried too hard with the humor….it didn’t NEED to be so cartoonishly violent….the story was ridiculous.

It wanted so badly to be like some pretentious, “look how quirky and clever this is” Guy Ritchie movie. But instead, it’s the kind of movie 17-21 year olds walk out of high-fiving each other about how cool it was. But for everyone else….it was a big misfire.

Pitt can do much better than this kind of stupid material.
