This had the potential
this could have been a good film but it was a wasted opportunity, it felt like a cheesy kung fu flick from the 70s. it could have been as good as kill bill. its a shame.

shareAgreed. I've just watched it for the first time and though in my opinion it isn't very good I still watched it to the end. 1 because I was genuinely entertained and 2 because I could see it's potential.
shareAgreed. Action: 7.8. Acting: 2.1. Crowe's All Pasta Shatner Diet: 10. Too much of this flick reeked of single takes. It could have been a contender. Alas.
shareI can't believe u guys actually thought RZA was going to make a movie as good as Quentin's Kill Bill. U guys are on crack, it was exactly what it was supposed to be. A homage to the old kung fu films of the 70's, that inspired the Wu-Tang Clan. Personally I had a great time watching it!
AS Good? No. The man should stick to doing music for such films... But, hey. A fun-filled 92 minute's, no? And I dare say none of us went into it looking for an action packed "Citizen Kane..." We knew what we were getting into...
shareIt's supposed to be like a 70's kung-fu movie, & it's supposed to be cheesy.
i'm dumbfounded that people don't see that.
Saw this for the first time on UK terrestrial TV in the UK. A homage doesn't have to slavishly copy every element of the old Shaw Bros. kungfu movies of the 70's. I think I was expecting it to be more like Kill Bill, but it was far from that.
1) I didn't think that the coreography was very good.
2) Dialgoue was weak (Homage? No thanks).
3) Overally production values seemed weak. Cheap looking costumes and sets.
The film did indeed have a lot of potential, it's a shame it couldn't deliver the goods.
