I must admit Tenontosaurus impressed me (SPOILER)

For a big, slow relatively unintelligent dinosaur with quite a few weak points, it did quite well against its faster-moving opponents. Took out 2 when conditions were most in its favor, and 4 more when it was really fighting against the odds. Six raptors put in their grave just to take it out. Not a pushover.

It was about time. On about 90% of all pictures I've seen depicting a "raptor VS prey"-event, Tenontosaurus was shown the victim that couldn't really defend itself or anything. Though it still went down in that episode, it showed that it can do much more than annoyingly swinging its tail from side to side. ... I still rooted for the Deinonychus however...

But above that, it had a rubbery lip on its lower jaw!

That bugged me. If I recall, wasn't there only evidence of four raptors being killed in the fight? The first fight was completely made up. I know there is a lot of speculating, but the raptors should have attacked at night to begin with.

I like the show, but one of the things that bug me about the first episodes if it seems like they need to even up the casualties on each side in every fight.

If every Velociraptor hunt would turn out this way, with plenty of casualties, the species would probably have become extinct soon. They couldnĀ“t reproduce as fast as the adults got killed in hunts. I wonder if it was just bad luck, or a especially "tenacious Tenontosaurus".
