Was it a hit in Australia? Melbourne sure seems to have a lot of talented actors. I'm about halfway thru season 2, and I most enjoy all the actors who play the colorful criminals. Melbourne seems like it is just teeming with wacky outlaws. The more soapy romantic stories regarding the members of the TR unit can be tiresome, but it's worth it for all the mayhem perpetrated by the characters of underworld Melbourne.
shareyes this was truly a really good series, too bad it got cancelled...but at the time it was 1 of my favorite Aussie TV shows. The show was originally a big hit in Australia...until channel 10 made a big mistake in airing season 4 in the same timeslot as 'Sea Patrol' (which was a bigger hit show at the time), and so 'Rush' began to lose ratings, which caused channel 10 to cancel the show. If they had just left the show in its original timeslot, then maybe the show could've survived with more seasons.
