So many plot holes, but here is one...

Spoilers...

At the end the time ran out. No one had written the answer down or even said it out laud before the time ran out. She told them the answer after they both came into the room so she already got a huge hint right there! And Black was still in the room but didn't get the chance to guess the answer after the time ran out like she did!

Knowing that he would not die of the bullet instantly? What if it hit his heart? Or if the pencil had killed him?

Just a ridiculous film.

Boss: So the interview with the final 8 will be a riddle we give them during the introduction. First person(s) to say get the job.

Interviewer: Yeah, sounds good. Interesting test. It should only take, what, two minutes to get a successful applicant.

Boss: Yeah, that's all.

80mins later

Interviewer: Eh so, our bad. Fairly quickly, maybe 5 mins, they started to smash all the lights, even the emergency back-up
ones.

Boss: What....the.....F*^k!! Where did that come from? That's serioisly messed up...

Interviewer: Yeah, I know. They then began setting off the fire alarms, eating the joke pieces of paper we left out for them.

Boss: Did we not have a guard in there?

Interviewer: I'll say once the Mr.Brown guy started torturing other participants, while one got knocked unconscious, locked to a chair, and allowed go into shock with some internal bleeding inside the head, then of course that participant, when conscious again, began shooting people from 5 feet away......he just got a bit you know 'I'm not paid enough for this'.

Boss: Wow, that really got out of hand fairly quickly! How did they think torturing our Head of Human Resources, of all people, was going to get them a job as well. I take it we didn't hire anyone?

Interviewer: We kind of did....

Boss: Oh, *beep*!!!!!

She only figured out out after the exam had finished.
She did the least out of everyone and that's what the ceo of a company that is looking to release a cure for a world wide pandemic?
No experience in this field and was there no-one within the company that had worked on the previous release of the medicine that made the company one of the world's largest and most important that could've handled this?
Good entertaining film right up til the conclusion.

Shouldve had it that the answer was that you had to get everyone kicked out of the exam to win and dropped the pandemic story but come up with another reason why they would get people in a room like this and have to act like this.

If the company was OCP then I'd understand.

The exam was to find a person with specific traits that were needed. This tv tropes entry explains:

So, your company has created a drug that can heal/cure anything and make people practically immortal, making the world an infinitely better place and saving billions of lives and you need to find someone who is right for the responsibility of distributing it, since you can never hope to make enough? That's fine - just put confused, desperate people into an isolated room, give them weapons, and watch them tear each other to shreds! Justified in that the winning candidate was the only one who stayed calm, didn't resort to drastic methods, and remained thoughtful and methodical throughout, even when there were lives on the line - which was exactly the kind of person the CEO was after.

Was kind of surprised that with all of the knowledge that Dark had, she didn't know the CEO's cultural background. She also called him by his name a few times, which sounded like where he was from.

As the The Invigilator explains, the CEO is very particular about who he works with. He's clearly a very private person and open to very few people. The Invigilator (possibly the Guard too and eventually Blonde) is clearly a close friend and business partner while Dark is merely an employee. Not to mention that the CEO has used doubles and probably deals with employees through other trusted subordinates.

There's also the fact that when you picture a CEO of a large influential company, you expect this smartly dressed, charming and very confident person who could win you over in a heartbeat, not the painfully shy, socially awkward, humble, thoughtful and clearly brilliant man who kept his head down.

Given the company's influence and their latest product, you can't just bring anyone in on it. For him to actually be in the same room and suffer at the hands of White and others is a pretty major dedication toward sizing up those candidates for himself and making sure the right person is chosen.
