potential zombie-apocalypse-pre quel? (minor spoilers)

At first, a rapidly spreading killer-Virus is established, that has basically spread all around the globe, only to be later supplemented by a cure that rapidly generates flesh and keeps people from dying?
Combine these two, sprinkle in a couple of side effects... and that ominous company might just be the Umbrella Corporation©

As soon as they mentioned the virus/pandemic aspect of the story, that was my immediate reaction too! I thought, aw crap, it's a zombie apocalypse story cleverly hidden in a Saw-without-the-serial-killer wrapper. I was relieved that was not the case, even though I do love a zombie/outbreak movie when done correctly.

Even so, I felt that the whole virus part of the story didn't really come alive for me, even though it was central to the plot. It felt contrived.

But I do have to admit that my criticism may not be totally fair...I fell asleep twice during this movie, because it didn't really hold my attention. One minute they're trying to find a way to show the 'invisible ink' by various methods...close my eyes for a second...and then White is tied up and begging for his medication. I backed it up to watch how this came to be, and somehow managed to doze off and miss the exact same segment of the movie! After that I decided I just wasn't into it enough to try a third time.

Interesting idea lol. What would also be interesting would be the effects on morals if people actually manage to become immortal, even without side effects.

this would have made it a better movie

This is such a delicious idea, one that I wish was in the actual film.
