Comment about Blonde

I've read some comments on the board that stated people felt Blonde shouldn't have gotten the role because she didn't get involved as much as other candidates. But I think that is what makes her the best candidate: while the others typically jumped to conclusions, she observed from the start - which in the role (deciding who to administer the cure to) will be an important trait. I think she could have taken action quicker but didn't because it was also a competition, and letting the other try to get disqualified first was a tactic. Ultimately I think she cared more about what the company would think of her performance, not what the other candidates thought or did, so she engaged in the "exam" when necessary.

What I didn't like about the character is that we learn nothing about her, so it is harder to make a connection to her. Most of the other people we find out their backgrounds in business, psychology/HR, the military, science, but not her. I think the writers were trying to keep her under the radar and a mystery until the end, but it would have helped to have known a little bit about her background to understand how she could demonstrate the traits that the Invigilator described at the end (patience, compassion, a good listener and observer, etc.)

I agree. It made logical sense, but as a viewer it was a bit of a letdown for me since she was the only character I didn't feel a connection to
