Cuts for the American market

When aired on the BBC and sold on the original UK DVDs, the 12 episodes of Survivors were considerably longer. All the original episodes except the pilot were 60 minutes long.

When prepared for release in the USA, these episodes were cut in length to a running time of 50 to 52 minutes. This edited version of the show was aired on BBC America and is also available on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc.

Has anyone seen a list somewhere of what scenes were cut from each episode? 10% of each episode is a pretty drastic edit. I'm just wondering what I missed. I really hate the way PBS and BBC America cut original content this way (or, to be more accurate, I hate the way PBS and BBC America require the UK producers to edit their finished product to suit the commercial requirements of the American market).

It's strange that the streaming services that don't have to deal with adverts cut the episode run time.

Anyway, you should just torrent them, screw the producers that ruin content to fit their money grubbing outdated business model.
