I'm reeeeally looking forward to this movie and the fact that it's currently got the highest score possible on this site right now (10.0/10 as of 9/10/2009) just whets my appetite even more.
Seriously though, 10.0/10? I remember seeing My Name is Bruce at 9.9/10 a year ago or so and thinking at the time that nothing could ever beat that score. Of course the score will drop, but I still can't believe that I saw a perfect score on this site.
I wouldn't let the score hold too much weight on the film. I love bruce campbell as much as the next guy, but a 9.9? That's absurd, those are just the die hard fans having trouble differentiating a good movie from a movie done by someone they love. My name is Bruce was pretty bad honestly. I do want to see Give em Hell really bad because I think Thomas Jane is an excellent character actor. He unfortunately gets some bad roles from time to time. I wanted to love killshot, but it was just bad. Some people have blemishes on their record, it's going to happen. Being pre-disposed to love everything your idol does is just absurd.
"It's too long" #1 dumbest complaint for a movie not being any good.
I wish Thomas would get the role of Cal McDonald in Criminal Macabre. Mostly because after reading the complete Cal McDonald stories I can most definetly say it's like it was written for him. Also he's been drawn on to the covers of Cal McDonald books as Cal, since Ben Templesmith's departure.
