Very Good Film
It's very strange that this film received such low ratings 6.5. I thought it was a very good film. The story was well told. The actors were very good and the cinematography was excellent.

shareTotally agree on that. The movies catches on how underground movements throughout Europe fought against the Third Reich.
shareI think I have to disagree respectfully. Yes, the acting was good, yes the cinematography was good. But I don't think the story was well told. I found the movie slow, the screenplay pretty bad and the whole affair incredibly dull. A rating of 6.5 seems entirely justified in my view.
Make no mistake, it's an important story to be told - particularly the fact that it wasn't just the evil Germans. Why were the French police so keen to out-evil the SS? And it were the immigrants who said "Vive La France" and fought for the French nation and its people. But that's precisely why it should have been a better film. A story that needs to be told, marred by a pretty average movie.
Overall, I liked the film; I gave it an 8. It had to have something special to hold my attention with the sub titles. It did move a bit slowly at times, but it also allowed us to get a great deal of background on each of the characters. It was good enough to make me begin searching online for more information on the real people depicted in the film.
Best Wishes,
