Monique and Marcel Resemble a Klimt Painting
Monique (beautiful Lola Naymark) would be a shoo-in as a Gustav Klimt model, and her most daring scene with Marcel (Robinson Stevenin) (@1hr 43m>29m) is reminiscent of Klimt's Adam and Eve. Then there's the painting's symbolism, which seems to fit too. Oui, peut-être, non?
Monique shouldered the highest level of responsibility by trying to protect Marcel, and though they struggled heroically, they were ultimately helpless.

It shows not only the woman power of Eve but the loneliness of the human person in the nature. -- Ilona Fekete
