boring!!!

saw some teasers... is this supposed to be the german/male version of "love actually"?

all the jokes in the teasers are lame and predictable, it looks like one of those german 90ies romcoms... i looked forward on this because of the cast, but it seems to be plastic and chlichee.

I happen to have seen this movie at a testscreening in April 2009 in Hamburg.
I'm usually not the greatest fan of German comedies and i was very skeptical about this one, cause i'm not a big Til Schweiger fan either.
The movie really surprised me.
It's not only hilarious, it is actually is one of the very few German comedies that can seriously compete with American comedies in terms of acting, dialogue, timing, camerawork.....well, everything.
One difference to most Hollywood Comedies though is, that " Männerherzen" feels more like personal movie, it's got lots of touching and emotional moments...
I just really, really liked this film and can recommend it to everyone, who enjoys intelligent, charming comedies.

People like you are fascinating to me. You haven't seen the movie, but you diss it completely.
What for?
From having seen the teasers, you conclude, that this is the German version of " love actually"?
Is any Episodic romantic comedy with an Ensemble Cast from now on a new version of " Love actually"?
Isn't that a bit ridiulous?
You should see this movie first.
It deals with men and their troubles with love and life. How many episodic films that tell their stories strictly from a male point of view have you actually seen?
I found that whole basic idea to be pretty original. From what i know, there' aren't any other movies with that premise around.

I just came back from the theatre - and I'm sorry to say that, but I really did find this movie boring!
Even though the cast - apart from the Niklas character, maybe - was great and included one of my favourite German actresses at the moment, Nadja Uhl, the story was just a bit too predictable.
But maybe my expectations after the last Schweiger-movie I saw ("Keinohrhasen") were simply too high, I don't know.
Don't get me wrong, I have seen WAY worse movies, and this one might definitely be one to watch for a cosy night on the sofa or so, but in my opinion, there were only two, three scenes that were really fun or moving, respectively, and the rest was, well, mediocre.. ;-)

Apart from the Niklas character?? Florian David Fitz? Who won "best screenplay" and "best actor" awards for Vincent will meer?

You are an idiot.

I really liked the movie - and yes I saw it alone on a cosy night - also I'm a man in my late 20s. Especially the gym scenes were great, I could really connect to them. Every man that goes to a gym (at least in Berlin) knows that 1. you don't talk to the girls there, 2. you don't talk relationship problems and 3. has from time to time that situation, where he just sits there to think about the trouble in life, instead of actually using the device.

What I didn't like was the character Christian Ulmen played and his story in general. All in all I gave it a solid 6 - it didn't make me smile enough nor had me to tears, but there was good acting and a nice pace to it.

How can you judge a movie if you just saw some teasers? Its like judgeing a book even that you just have read the cover. Not really smart comment.
