This film wasn't made for most people

i read the books and short stories. i recall some humor but not enough for a comedy. this movie was a farce.

This movie was not made for hardcore fans of the Doyle stories. It was made for people who saw Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and, maybe, have some vague familiarity with the characters.

I agree that it wasn't made for most people. It is a series of, mostly, unfunny skits and is pretty intolerable.
