Why I Hate Movies Like Hostel 3

I just watched this movie on DVD. I had nothing else to do tonight. So I decided to go out and rent some horror flicks that I hadn't seen already. I had already seen Hostel 1, which I enjoyed. I also saw Hostel 2, which was an utter piece of crap. But since I hadn't seen Hostel 3, I rented it in the hopes that it couldn't be any worse than Hostel 2. I was wrong.

For one thing, I hate movies where the audience is forced to like the protagonist just because he's the main character. Of all the people who should have died in this movie, how does he get to survive? He was totally unlikeable. If anything, I was hoping that the crippled guy would have survived, as well as the brunetter hooker, and the Ukranian guy. Those were at least all likeable charcters. But they all get killed off, while the a**hole main character suvives. Really? The kill off the crippled guy who never did anything to anybody, but let the guy who cheats on his fiancee survive? Who writes this garbage?

Also, the entire move was so predictable. Was there anyone watching this movie who didn't already know that the main character was still going to be alive at the end? For one thing, we didn't actually see him die, which was a big flashing sign that he was still going to be alive at the end.

Basically, I just hated this movie. It was a whole waste of time watching it, and I believe that the people who wrote and produced it could have done a much better job.

For me it was lightweight in comparison to the first two. But yes the cripple guy living would've been far more interesting.

The part that also bugged me was the Ukrainian guy didn't free the woman knowing her fate even though all he needed to do was toss back the keys off the guy he killed. Her getting shot was lame. I didn't hate the main guy but I did feel blah about him.
