Great film! Loved this movie!

For what it tries to be, they don't come better. A great two hours at the movie!

I liked Battlefield Earth which puts you and me in the same company of those who enjoyed un-enjoyable movies =)

Battlefield Earth was absolute garbage. Immortas, like the OP stated, is a great action film. Nothing more. But it works and is a lot of fun.

Immortals is a garbage film. There is not one redeeming quality except in the eyes of people who enjoy garbage.

Very fun movie to watch, and visually stunning. Sure, the story is way off as far as accuracy goes, but we all knew that going into it.

Want great action? Gorgeous people? Amazing sets, scneries, and costumes? Want to see a movie on a simply massive scale with great effects? Here's your flick.

I gave it an 8/10 because it succeeds at the goal it pursued: to be very entertaining and amazing to look at. Now if Zeus was a co-producer for accuracy, I'd have an issue.

I never saw any great sets, costumes or scenery which was my biggest complaint. The action was good but everything else looked like a Scyfy original picture. There was no grit or grunge that you'd expect from the lower dredges of the human world and the gods did not convey power; in fact I'd be more intimidated by the Jersey shore caste. The film doesn't have to be, nor should it be, accurate to the mythology but it should at least go beyond the look of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Immortals looks like a bunch of high school kids put on a play. Now go look at the movie 300 and you will see the terrifying beauty of a visionary.

I thought this film was a 300 wannabe, not that I'm a great fan of 300 but that's how I saw Immortals.
The first time I saw it I didn't like it at all, but I just re-watched it and I liked it better for certain things. One of my favourites is the gods/titans fight scenes but having the titans kill the gods was just plain stupid. I liked it also for the way it was filmed - the dark sea and mountains looked like they were paintings at times, beautiful.
I didn't like the acting, especially Theseus and the story could have been much better. Greek mythology has such wonderful stories that could be used but whenever they make a film from it they add things that mess it up.

Totally agree, great to see someone with some taste. At least you are being objective and fair. Again, totally agree.

I agree with your comments the most. I gave this a 7/10 because it kept me interested throughout the whole movies, the sets, costumes, and limited CGI budget mixed together well.

This movie kind of seems like what The Fifth Element on Acid. I enjoyed the originality and found it to be a surprisingly enjoyable movie. I did not go into this with high expectations and was pleasantly surprised.

Now for Battlefield Earth, I gave it a 1 out of 10 only because I could not give it a 0.

Bumping my own comment. Saw this again with some friends and really enjoyed it. It's a very underrated flick.

Don't group this movie with Battlefield Earth. This movie was far worse.

I have to agree I think this is a great movie. Visually stunning

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Thought it had a great cast (no idea Mickey Rourke was the villain going in) and was a lot of fun.

Ya, damn good film. I agree 110%.

Thank you, it was great filming this movie and Tarsem is one of those directors who really changes how films are shot and made.

I really loved this movie. I own it on iTunes and on Blu-Ray! I had to have both! (Honestly, when I saw this movie and found out that Henry was the next Superman, I couldn't wait for it to come out! ) I only wish I had known more about this movie and had seen it in the theatre. I agree, this film's visuals were incredible, but for me it was Henry that riveted me to the screen! I immediately had to find out, who is this guy?
