Status?

So... What's the status on this one? It's been picked up, right?

Except for some minor cast announcements, I can't seem to find that much info on the show at all, and the news and articles I do find is from the summer/late summer of last year. When can we expect to see Perry star as the unhappy Steve?

I, for one, am really looking forward to the show. As a fan of both Perry and Showtime, I think this project has a chance to be something really special.

On this website it says the pilot has wrapped (in the top right hand corner) so hopefully there will be news soon.

I believe that this is true information because on that site you can't see the info of any show that hasn't finished filming.

Nice to see three members of the cast of Studio 60 landing gigs on Showtime shows now (Perry with this show, Nate Corddry on United States of Tara, and that girl who was Matt's assistant on Studio 60 is gonna be on the new Showtime series Nurse Jackie).

Nate Torrence from Studio 60 will also be in "The End Of Steve". I think this show could be the new Studio 60. Hopefully Matthew Perry and Peter Tolan will write great stuff and be Emmy worthy!

on that website it says "TV pilot / Dead", and that doesn't sound too good, does it? I'm waiting for news too...

Apparently HBO might be interested in buying the pilot. I hope that's true.

I still can't find any info on this! Anyone heard anything?

reply

I've heard that Perry and Tolan have a meeting with HBO on 24th April 2009. That's just a rumour though.

Showtime didn't pick up any pilot's. So at the moment "The End of Steve" will not be continueing production.
