What did you think of the Nate/Dana subplot?

I thought it was just wasted and pointless. Chloe Bridges is a fine, young lady, too bad that she was given a wasted role. The romance was out of place, didn't brought anything to the main plot and was just clichèd and formulaic. If it actually influenced the main plot, then it would have been more justified.

I thought it was a breath of fresh air. It was a nice break from Mitchie yelling and hollering at everyone like a maniac

Realm of Doom!

I just noticed that their couple name could be Nana or Date :D HAHAH

Haha. I've never thought about it before.

Cute, somewhat creepy, and utterly pointless. I was expecting their relationship to at least affect the plot in some way (some kind of Romeo&Juliet thing), but it didn't even do that. It was like the writers just thought, "oh, Mitchie and Joe are too busy to be romantic enough in this movie, lets throw in a new romance to make up for it". T.T

I think it's senseless but I like the part where Nate sang "Introducing Me" and the tempo changes. :)

agree the nick dana thing was saved by Introducing me, the best song in the movie =)

I agree it was a waste of time, and I thought it was VERY unreasonable of her to expect Nate to spill his heart out to her, after they just met! She didn't even give him much to work with either! What was he suppsed to say when SHE'S the one that came over to see him?

They bearly talked!

I thought the song was sweet. But it was just they didn't give them enough to work with and I had no type of connection with them what so ever. They should have spent less time showing Nate watching her from the bushes and more time with them actually together.

Luke:"How do you even talk black, any word that end in izzle?"
Alex:it's BACK you idiot!"

Well, if you try to put yourself in the same situation; If you're travelling to a person that you have a crush on and that your parent has forbidden you to see, you do somewhat expect that they should recieve you and be overwhelmed with you, since you've already risked so much to see your sweetheart. But she didn't gave him anyting to work with, though.

What I really hated was that the relationship didn't have any sort of closure... after he gave her the rose at the end of campwars nothing else happened between them! Not even a "we'll see each other next year" whatever!

That was even worse than the romance itself..

I know, right? Extremly dumb and pointless.

but REALLY pointless...I wanted more of Mitchie and Shane...love them...and than this... -.-

I want someone to love me
For who I am
I want someone to need me
Is that so bad?

reply

I do like it; but I believe the whole Romeo & Juliet plot is old-school!!!!!
