I really don't care about any of the other characters, or their stories...
They're all kind of boring.
But Laurie... Laurie is just enthralling. The show needs to be ALL ABOUT HER.

shareI disagree, I wouldn't be as interested in the show if it wasn't centered around Morgan. but i am biased bc hes hot!! lol i do like all the characters except for the daughters husband.. hes annoying - but can be funny at times...

I agree, the story needs to be focused on Bobbi and the business. I think the whole side story of Morgan being adopted(or a bad debt collection)distracts from the show. It also causes unnecessary annimosity between Morgan and his mom. Another distraction are his scenes with the girl who took his DNA. I mean she's cute, but if they haven't started dating or at least made out by now, they should drop that story line.
I think Laurie does a great job in her role. I love the way the she pretends she's not the boss whenever she gives someone bad news. And the way the family doesn't show how rich they are buy driving into work in fancy cars. It's great. I thought the show was going to focus on how these legal loan sharks operate, and their new rivalry from the big Hawaiian guys.
They also need to punch up the script a little. The show needs a little more humor and a little more action.
The show doesn't need more action nor humour for me : it's weird and clever enough to compensate any heavy attempt to make it attractive, and I don't think the show should be centered around Bobette : the show is about being an outsider in your family (and hypocritically wanting to get away from it) as much as it is about the said family and the trend of pay-day loan (which is already much present : it's the whole environment !)...
Overall I just love South Nile :p but... will there be anymore episodes ? :S
