Worth getting?

Big fan of the first two Boosh season's, i love Darkplace, IT Crowd and all that, I'm going to be buying this shortly, just wondering what everyones view is? I was hoping to catch it at the cinema but never really knew when it was released

No, I would not bother. Great Visually with the cut out animation and live action, but the acting is bad as is the screenplay. Boring all the way and not even funny.

^ You're an idiot.

This is definately worth getting. Just don't watch it expecting it to be a laugh out loud comedy with laughs every two seconds. Whilst it does have it's funny moments, the film on a whole is quite emotional. The acting is fine. I mean, if you like all those other shows then you're going to be familar with everyone's acting. I personally didn't find any part of the film boring because there was a reason each part was told. It wasn't added on for the sake of adding it on.

visually the film was quite special, the backdrops etc were stunning. what i dont get is why they cast actors who resemble the main characters from the Boosh, this kinda annoyed me, to me it was like watching a feature length version the Boosh with two actors who lack the chemistry and rapport of vince and howard. also simon farnaby was pretty dreadful in my opinion, the way he kept saying dude sounded forced and just didnt fit his character, he should stick to "Stupid Deaths" he kicks ass at that.

Such a great film. I love the boosh so i bought it on iTunes for like 4.99, so worth it! Julian is in it more than Noel but they both have suited roles and the main 3 where great! :D

Not worth it. Maybe you can find it in a library for free or maybe rent it...but it isn't worth a buy to me. I watched it once but would never watch it again. Or recommend it. And I love Darkplace, IT Crowd, Mighty Boosh, all that. This movie isn't funny like those shows. Nor is it serious. I didn't really get what the movie was trying to say, though it is visually amusing like the sets are done well. The script and acting aren't very good in it. I feel bad for saying that because I love the other projects those who were in this have done. I just didn't love this movie or even like it a lot.

And I don't think I'm an idiot for not liking it. The DVD cover said it was one of the best British comedy films of the decade and there isn't much comedy in it. Ok, so it could be emotional instead, except the acting isn't good enough for you to sympathize with the main character so when you find out what happened to Bunny at the end of the film, you don't really care. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters nor were they funny. It was just bland.

Say you go to a restaurant and you've gotten good service there. The food is good. Then you go there one night and order what is supposed to be the chef's special, but it is bland. It looks so good on the plate but yet you struggle to eat it. It doesn't make you throw up...it works as food so you don't go hungry, but you won't be ordering it again or recommending it to any of your friends, though you maybe recommend something else off the menu you liked before. I thought this would be a good metaphor since the director of this movie had a bad experience in a seafood restaurant and now can't eat seafood.
