Margaret's Brother?

Can't Margaret's brother give their parents grandchildren? Why do they have to pressure her about it.

I like the show but, it's almost as if it should be called "Cho's Life On The D-List"

Just my thoughts.

The daughter is usually the one that is supposed to provide grandchildren in asian cultures. It's about honor. Son's are supposed to be the workers and all that crap. Daughters are supposed to give birth to more sons! The parents therefore care more about Margaret having children then their son.

No, the son is the one who is supposed to provide a grandchild for the family in Asian cultures. They carry the family name. So the pressure would be on a daughter-in-law to produce sons.

I dont think their preasure was about passing on the family name. I think the parents just feel that life is not complete or fullfilled until you have children.
