To Neil Johnson:

Dear Mr. Johnson,

First, I want to compliment you on most of the special effects in the movie. The backgrounds were great in space, planets looked nice, ships looked great and the interior of the ships as well. However:

- The animations however were a bit bad (especially with the nephalim fleet etc, formations didn't feel natural and also the flying and rotating of the ships were very unnatural at times).
- The explosions could also use some work, right now they are a bit outdated (star wars level instead of battlestar galactical level).

Apart from that the animations are great, and if you could fix those things you have all the ingrediƫnts to make an epic space battle and spaceship fights. The ship models etc especially are really good, but the particle effects and explosions could really use some work (and I think you would have seen this yourself also with a critcal eye).

The story however, was absolutely awful. There were a few good ideas in there (like the plot of humans going extinct etc) but too many things just didn't make sense/add up (for example, you ruin the entire atmosphere of the movie if you make the human race go extinct and have a bunch of idiots left over, that really ruins how much people are engaged with the entire human race as it is depicted in this movie). The lines were also a bit cheesy, far too many made up 'science fiction' words and all in all, with a proper script, this movie would have been great (even with the crappy explosions and bad animations every now and then).

It could have even been close to a blockbuster if everything was done right, and it's a pitty it didn't. Could have easily been my favorite movie, but some of the animation and narrative basics were just too damn awful (five act structure, where exactly? poor acting as well btw...). Also, for the combat scenes on the ground: no one shoots like that :/ Please look into how the militairy does it or at least give some civilians guns and have them pretend to shoot if you want to see how a 'normal' human being would fire a gun even WITHOUT military experience.

I think that if you brush up on your skills and put a little more effort into it (even though this might have already been a huge effort of course!) then you could really start making movies sci fi enthousiasts all around the world would deeply enjoy and put on their favorites lists for all of eternity!

Good luck and if you ever need any help, just gimme a call or shoot me a message ^^
