Mark L. Walters, the co-writer, director and producer of SPIDER-MAN: WEB OF SHADOWS, is speaking on a free panel about video games this Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A. Invented 30 years ago, interactive games are an astonishingly young art form when compared to mediums, such as oil painting and film. So it is no surprise that games are still finding their place in our creative landscape and culture at large. For this panel, we have asked diverse members of the creative community to debate the merits and the problems of viewing games as art and the inherent dangers of monetizing all art.
Moderator: Jeff Goldsmith, Senior Editor of CREATIVE SCREENWRITING MAGAZINE
Panelists: Lucy Bradshaw (SPORE, THE SIMS franchise), Danny Ledonne (SUPER COLUMBINE MASSACRE RPG!), Jerry O'Flaherty (THUNDERCATS, GEARS OF WAR, UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3), Mark L. Walters (SPIDER-MAN: WEB OF SHADOWS, TONY HAWK PROJECT 8, MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE).
