The PS2 version of Spiderman Web of Shadows is the LAMEST game I've ever had the misfortune of playing. It gets my vote for worst game of 2008. What a poorly conceived and amatuerish load of sh!t this game is. There's no WAY I would pay money for this travesty. If Activision wants $40 out of me they can just go out and become a prostitute.

Are you trying to be smug or are you just...stupid? The PS2 is still a viable console as far as processing power and games are concerned. Or else why is Sony STILL selling them, genius? Most PS2 games coming out now are still good (and if you consider the cost of PS3 and XBox 360 games...CHEAPER.) Spiderman Web of Shadows is clearly a case of Activision screwing the PS2 owners over in favor of the big bucks generated from PS3 and XBox 360 game sales.

I agree. If you want to get it on PS2, you might as well just buy the DS version. They look exactly the same. I recently bought Web of Shadows for Xbox 360 and it's awesome. I don't know why the critics are giving it such bad feedback. Can someone tell me why the PS2 version got 7.0 on IGN and Xbox only got 5.7?

i wouldnt worry about it mate, i got it for the ps3 and its nothing special. As for a decent game being released on ps2, persona 4 was released, there are still half decent games being released if not as many. Also, spidey 2 and ultimate spiderman were both released on ps2 so i dont understand why they would short change this release as its not like the system couldnt handle a half decent sandbox spidey like this when its allready given 2 good ones before.
shareYeh it really makes no sense why they didn't port it to PS2 too, they usually do. Maybe its a 'message' from sony that they are officially starting to really give up on the PS2 (after all, they DO have the PS3 to market; its not like XBoX original or Gamecube are still a big whoop anymore for their companies)
And it bothers me that the DS/PS2 versions got a BETTER rating than the 'actual' console ones... its just cause the reviwers are side-scrolling fanboys who proclaim anything '3D' is inferior to '2D'... pfft yeh...
