Way too disappointed

1. The level design really doesn't accomodate character builds for tech or stealth. Only way to solve your issues with level bosses is with guns.

2. Targeting and cover system are way wonky. If this is a build on the ME engine, then they should've kept the proximity cover system rather than assigning a button.

3. I can have listening devices, computer hacking gear, eavesdropping equipment, and other surveillance nick nacks in my Splinter Cell gadget arsenal, but in this game I pretty much only traps and grenades? Remind me again why I'd want to try another playthrough specializing in gadget use?

4. Stealth works less like stealth and more like the magical invisibility you have in an Elder Scrolls game so long as you stay crouched and walk around like quasimodo. If you stand up you run the risk of alerting every bad guy in the level who will magically home in on your location.

In the interest of being fair, the storyline is really good even if the main character is a bit of a dillhole. If you can endure the really crappy gameplay, you will be rewarded with one of Bioware / Obsidian's better plots.

And to be even more fair, I have heard that most of the staff on this game got pulled to work on Fallout: New Vegas so we are pretty much playing an unfinished game. I really think that this game should've been pushed back even further so that it would have the chance to live up to its potential.

I enjoyed the game but I agree that the stealth and cover systemes are odd. The gadgets could use some beefing up but I enjoyed the rest opf the gameplay alot. I have played through a ton of times going different routes each time and everytime I find something new so at least th replay value is good

The story, the characters, the interaction system and how it can affect the plot lone is all really great, but the game play is average at best.

Another thing that was really annoying was the targeting system. Or rather the randomness of the first shot you take. The first shot from any weapon, when aimed, should be hitting the target. Not spraying randomly all over the place.

Something else that I thought was really stupid was the enemy bodies disappearing. A body is a great means for causing a distraction. Or hiding them so the other guards don't see them like in Splinter Cell would have been nice.

The Enemy AI was absolutely awful as well. Guys would be staring at walls. They walked the smae path all the time. There is never any kind of coordination between the enemies. When facd with 5 guys on alert, I should be worried about being flanked by a couple of them while the rest are trying to flank.

I'm not an actor. I just play one on TV.

This game never lived up to the hype. It was average, but all the previews discussed it like it was going to be an out of the world game changer for video games.
