why does Helen hate Josh?

She is always putting him down in this movie and on the show, what's her problem?

i realize she has a crush on Drake but there's no excuse for her being a bitch to Josh. >:( Josh is hotter than Drake now anyway. :)

it was kinda funni at first, but now it's kinda annoying..

like how she cracked his neck in the beginning...that in real life would have broken it and killed him

and that whole thhing about spanking his grandmother was just rude and stupid

Yikes, guys! No love for "helen", huh? :)

Dan Schneider never really said why my character hates Josh so much and loves Drake. But I think it has something to do with the first episode, "The Movie Job". If you guys remember, in that one, Drake kept taking credit for every good thing Josh was doing at the Premiere. And things sorta fell apart for Josh right as Helen was walking by. I think that kinda crystallized in Helen's mind that Drake was the good one and Josh was the screw-up.

Also, I think Dan wanted a counterpart for Mrs. Hayfer who loves Josh and hates Drake for no apparent reason.

I hope this answers the question.

And just so you know, when we shot the movie the "cracking of Josh's neck" was done very gently. They added the sound effect later which made it sound (and look) a lot more painful. And I do agree that it could kill someone in real life. So I hope NO ONE tries it at home. When we shot it I kept my hands on Josh's face and HE jerked his own head to the side. He controlled it. No real violence at all. And the grammy line was an ad lib Dan threw at us as we were shooting. No offense to Grammy's was intended. It was all in fun.

I hope you guys will cut "helen" a little slack now. She's not bad, she's just misunderstood. :)

And lastly, for the record. I, Yvette, love both Josh and Drake equally in real life.

Have a blessed Holiday, you guys!

Yvette :)

I watch Nickelodeon pretty much 24/7 (I am pretty sure this is sad since I am 23 years old) and I've seen every episode of Drake and Josh about.. well.. I can't even begin to recall how many times. Let's put it this way, I think the movie has shown 12 times since it came out and I have watched it every time (Only time I change the channel is when Nick Jr stuff is on ;)), I'm a huuuuge fan of Drake and Josh and even though Josh is my favorite character, I always loved the character of Helen too. You have to have at least one person in life who doesn't like you ;)

I never thought of that before, how Helen is Josh's Mrs. Hayfer... really clever.

I watch Nick a lot too. (Mainly Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob once in a while, Drake and Josh mainly, and a little bit of Icarly... not all the shows) I feel a little better since I'm only turning 20 years old next week. I don't watch Nick Jr either, lol. Drake & Josh is my favorite show on Nick. I never miss it. I've also seen the movie every time it has been on. Yet, I manage to keep good grades in college too. BTW, Josh is my favorite character too. :)

i am ashamed to admit it but i am in my 30's and watch Fairly Oddparents, i guess the humor is funny to me. :D there is sometimes a little adult humor in the show like in Spongebob. ;)

reply

Yea, you gotta love Cosmo on Fairly odd parents, lol. :)

I can't see how anyone could NOT love Helen, yeah it sucks that she's mean to Josh but she's hilarious and Yvette steals every scene she's in.
