Rating?

I'm placing my bet on this movie being R-rated, judging by its plot.

I'm guessing R for the US and maybe 15 for the UK.

Unfortunately they don't know the rating yet, but I agree, it sounds like an R rated film. Really, DL would've been because of the cursing but SPC was relying way too much on Rupert's fanbase and under the impression that each and every fan was under the age of 17. I think that hurt DL in the long run. So I hope none of the companies that get this film are as stupid as SPC.

From what I am hearing, yeah, def an R rating. At least it had better be and NOT a PG rating.

wait... what's SPC?

Sony Pictures Corporation, I think?

Just from the sounds of it (and recent leaked info), I don't see how it could get away with a PG-13 in the US. I used to have a thing against watching R-rated movies (my church gently advises against it), only watching one occasionally if I'd heard it was really good, but then I discovered Edward Norton and pretty much all his films are rated R, so I figured I can make exceptions if I'm watching the movie for an actor I love with a passion bordering on obsession, and Rupert's the only other actor that fits that bill for me, so.... And since then I've become even more lax on it, so yes, I hope it gets the appropriate rating and the studio doesn't bribe the MPAA or whatever to pretend it's PG-13 just to draw in Rupert Grint's teeny bopper fans. The only problem will be that no one I know will ever want to watch it with me from the sounds of it.

WB, I still wish you well;
I hope it's not TOO hot for you down there in hell.
