why the h-e-l-l Rob Sheehan ?????? why not Mosely or Hoult??????
Can't the casting directors see the genius in casting two hearttrobs in the main roles, instead of only one?

shareWell, if he's good, than this will be an opportunity for Sheehan to become a hearththrob..... *shrugs*

looks isn't the only thing we look forward too. we've seen enough actors/actresses with good look but shallow/ poor acting.
he must be good to get the part! we will see
Old man is scary when they're obsessed with young actress age of his grand-daughter. Run! Emma RUN!
But for the money and the medial focus the film witll have????
shareThere was a time when Grint, Mosely, or Hoult weren't well known, right?
AND, if someone didn't take a chance on them, we wouldn't know who they were, right?

The film will not earn more money because of Sheehan's future fame. It's here and now it matters. And Mosely is already world-known, so his name attached to the film will draw attention
shareWell, was Dan, Rupert and Emma known world wide when the first HP was made?
Didn't they want Haley Joel Osment to be Harry at first because he was "already world-known?"
*and if they'd chosen him, I'd doubt it if he'd still be playing Harry now.
All of those High School Musical stars, (I'm sure they were in some things before HSM,) were they "already world-known" before then? I doubt it. However, because of their envolvement in the movie series, they are known.
Look, I totally get what you are saying, names sell movies, but my thing is, how do you get to be "known" if you don't get out there?
Before Narnia, Mosely wasn't known.
Before About a Boy, Hoult wasn't known.
Before HP, Rupert wasn't known.
So, do you think they should have gotten "already world-known" actors for those roles?
Was Keisha Castle-Hughes (although, she's still not mainstream) known before Whale Rider? But this unknown receive an Oscar nomination. Should they have just given the role to whichever young starlet who was popular at the time?
You never know if you have a gem if you don't give the person a try, right?

The way I see it is, if the movie is good then Rupert will become better known and Robert will become known (he's been working for a long time (Roseanne), if he's good, I'm sure a big break is due to him.
If the movie is bad, then I don't think Hoult or Mosely would be able to save it.

No matter what you say, it will be more fun to see:
A) Rupert and some other known actor play friends
than
B) Rupert and some unkown actor play friends
even if it's exactly the same film.
Robert Sheehan's resume is fairly extensive; he can't be without talent, and talent is what matters. I can't say anything about Hoult, but William Moseley is only well-known for the movie he has been in, not for being a particularly good actor. I think more movies should choose actors based on who earns the role as opposed to who will get them a little more publicity.
Anyway, it doesn't need that many big names, any little film that has one of the Potter stars in it gets more publicity than it would have had without them. Let this film be Rupert's sell, that'll be enough for plenty of people.
WB, I still wish you well;
I hope it's not TOO hot for you down there in hell.

After having seen him in person and in the movie, he is and he is... *wink*
He's gorgeous. And from the clips I've seen of him from other stuff he's done and from 'Misfits'...he's very talented.

Ohhhmehhgawd I love Nicholas Hoult with a burning passion. :) I agree with youu. The dude was ugly.
shareSheehan is very appealing, so I don't understand this thread at all.
Has anyone here seen the film yet? Let's here from you and you can tell us firsthand.
I KNOW that Rupert was brilliant, of course.
RGwow
Well, the thread was created a long time ago, before anyone really knew who Robert Sheehan was. Before Misfits, etc.

Ok. What does everyone think of him now? I hope this film is doing really well and the distributors are chomping at the bit.

He's Nathan in Misfits, a very popular series. And, you're nuts, he's hot, hotter than Rupert.
shareare you retarded? Robert is way hotter than rupert and mosely put together. hoult i can't argue against :p
shareThis is so old but Robbie was so cute and sexy in this, right down to his accent. Not trying to be funny but Hoult looks like a rodent. Hopefully your taste has grown since this post.
