Why not wait next year when Leno's available and make him host.

He's a very knowledgeable car guy, and was a mechanic for Rolls Royce no less before he made it big. He'll probably be better than that big galoot that host the U.K. version. The other hosts I don't know, but Leno will be entertaining and be knowledgeable.

I hope Leno does American version of Top Gear.

Wow. Very insightful. Wish he had the same reverence and respect for the Tonight Show.

First of all, Leno sucks. He may know a thing or two about cars, but he's not funny. His standup was terrible and his stint on the Tonight Show is one failed delivery after another. He was hired to replace Carson because he is non-threatening and appealed to the blue hair crowd. He has some of the best writers in the business and he still isn't funny. That said, Clarkson, May and Hammond are not only funny and entertaining individually, their chemistry together is brilliant. The greatness of Top Gear isn't just due to the cars--although that part is great--it's because the show can be enjoyed by people (i.e. my g/f) who don't care one bit about cars.
