Christine should be gone

I don't believe they kept Christine over Tai. Christine hasn't been interesting the entire season and the one time she did do well didn't out shine Tai when she is at her best! This show is crazy nuts stupid for not having the top 3 be Tai Jessica and Gabby. I say Tai at least deserved to be in the top 3. I loved how when Jessica was having her tantrum Tai nudged her and to keep her head up. She is supportive of her biggest competition which is Jessica. She's not a b-word she is a nice girl. TEAM TAI!!! Now i'm rooting for Jessica to win. She has been the most consistant and she has never been in the bottom. This is a no brainer.

Tai could never admit Gabby was good, she always said she was bad. Gabby didn't say even one word to her before she (Tai) demeaned her first performance (the killer grabbing her behind the bed)---saying it was all her looks, and not her talent. That doesn't sound like a nice girl to me.

But I do agree Jessica is an obvious winner. She's never been in the bottom. The only problem is, at least in my opinion, the times Gabby did her best, she outshined Jessica. But she has been one of the bottom. So.....I don't know x-/

Tai has complemented Gabby's acting more than once. She was impressed with her Director's Challenge in episode 2 (the one where they kill their boyfriend after preparing steak) and she liked Gabby's Director's Challenge for this last episode. So no, she didn't always say Gabby was bad. The only time Tai said that Gabby was bad and was actually wrong was in episode 6. All the other times she has critiqued Gabby's acting, she has said pretty much what others have.

And about the first skills test, Tai said more or less that she thought the judges had commented more about her look than her talent, but she said "not that you're not talented", so she wasn't being bitchy then, she was saying what she thought.

I agree with the OP though that despite Tai's bad moments, she has been better than Christine throughout, who only shined way back in episode 2 during the witch Skills Test, and then went all the way to episode 6 without doing a damn thing that was interesting until she did well in the ghost attack Director's Challenge. How she has made it to the final based on only two good performances is beyond me.

In the first skills test, she started off by saying "I didn't remember your scene." If that's not a slap in the face, I don't know what is. It was a thought that was unnecessary to share aloud---especially to a girl she didn't even know. Like Gabby said, she was basically saying she didn't deserve the win, that her performance wasn't the best. Hell, she said she didn't remember it---and that's about the worst thing you can tell someone about their work. I doubt she was innocently speaking her mind when she said that. Besides, I don't recall her giving any "critiques" to any other actress. A bit of a coinsidence.

And the Director's Challenge in episode 2---this was after the two times Gabby had lost focus and gone into "Gabbyland"---Tai said something like "Gabby surprised me. Oddly enough, she was very focused. It was dead on." It may have sounded like a compliment to you, but she was throwing in sarcasm because she wasn't focused the previous director's challenge and skills test. It wasn't totally sincere.

And I haven't seen the latest episode yet, so I can't comment on that for now.

With Christine, the 3 episodes in between before she got noticed again---I don't recall all who got axed in those episodes, but I do know two of them were pretty bad (the one who ate the meat in the butcher director's challenge, and the one that couldn't play evil and was very close to Sierra). Christine was in the background of those episodes, but she wasn't awful, so she slipped by. I think Allison was another, and I believe it was only her and Gabby (for techincal issues) on the chopping block, therefore Christine not being awful and once again in the background. Though, episode 5 they finally called her out, because they basically couldn't see her anymore. All the actresses they were having bigger problems with that obviously stood out more were more or less gone, and Christine was finally coming out of the background---only for the judges to notice they haven't really seen her take any chances lately to really BE noticed. So, I think that's how she got by. But, honestly, she's a bit boring to me. Again, I haven't seen the latest episode, so I don't know if she did good or not, but I'm waiting for her to blow me out of the water---with bad acting or amazing acting, whichever, but SOMEthing.

Tai gave critiques to Lana's performance, she said that she sounded as if she was laughing instead of screaming. She also critiqued Sierra's performance, making lighthearted fun about how she woke up from her nightmare. So no, she didn't just make comments about Gabby's performance.

That didn't sound like sarcasm to me. She sounded genuinely impressed, and that is probably when she started realising that Gabby could be competition for her. Ofcourse she was making a reference to Gabby's previous mistakes in the other skills test and director's challenge, who wouldn't? That's why she said she was surprised and commented on the fact that she seemed very focused this time around.

Christine hadn't done anything either good enough to be noticed or bad enough to be noticed until episode 5 where her pretty lacklustre performance in the Vampire Outlaws trailer challenge landed her in the elimination room. The judges weren't impressed by her performance and that's why she was on the chopping block that week. I don't think two decent performances in episode 2's skills test and episode 6's director's challenge and everything being either unnoticeable or lacklustre enough to land in the bottom is good enough to justify her being in the final.

By the way, here is episode 7. I don't know what you will think but I don't think Christine was that great in this either.

When I meant she didn't make critiques about other contestants, I meant to their face. She commented on almost EVERYBODY'S performances on the interviews, of course, but she only "critiqued" Gabby to her face, and no one else.

And on the "Oddly enough, she was very focused" comment---I took it as sarcasm, not geniuneness. Her voice sounded like she had an attitude in the "Oddly enough" part. I've heard her sound geniune with the other contestants (to their face, of course), and she didn't sound like that in that comment.

Obviously our perceptions are different on that particular comment.

And I understand your feelings towards Christine not deserving to be in the finals. She's not outstanding---but don't you think those who gave poor performances deserve to go before those with unnoticed performances? I think the problem here was that the majority of the contestants weren't that great at performing, thus Christine being able to make it as far as she has. The only person I didn't agree with going home before Christine was Allison. I actually thought she was really good, and should have been given at least another episode to improve on the "eye" problem.

And I watch the episodes on Demand with a friend of mine---so I'm afraid I have to wait to see the latest episode lol But I'll make sure to comment on Christine's performance as soon as I see it x]

Ok, so I watched episode 7---and Christine didn't do so well. I think her problem is that this genre isn't particularly for her. I think she's a good actress, but I don't think horror's her genre. I'm not sure she really "gets" it. And with episode 8, I knew she'd be booted off next. She did look like a victim, as the judges said. Again, just not her genre.

I was actually very surprised Gabby won. I mean, I was happy, don't get me wrong lol but I thought it would be Jessica. She was very consistent. But I think the director of Saw had alot to do with it. He hadn't seen their past performances, only what he was given in that last director's challenge. And from what I saw, he preferred Gabby's performance. So I figured he had the most say out of everyone, since he would work with them in the next film.

The guest director who sat in on their last director's challenge was actually the director of Saw II, III and IV Darren Bousman. The SAW3D director is Kevin Greutert. But I agree that Gabby was probably the most suited to the role in terms of her look and that's why she won because they were both good actors.

Ahh, I see I see. Perhaps he just knew what would work for Saw 3D, since he directed in previous ones, and he thought Gabby would be the right choice.

I agree Gabby's look would probably be more preferable---but I really thought she did better than Jessica in the director's challenge. It was a close call, but Gabby's reactions to what the character's sister was saying were more sincere to me than Jessica's. But nonetheless, I still thought Jessica would be the one to win.

But oh well. The top two best actresses made it to the finale, and that's what's important. We knew either way it went, we would get a good performance in Saw 3D.

Now, we just have to see the movie xD
