Somewhat bizarre plot ... *** spoilers ***

I enjoyed the movie, and I was very glad the way it supported the notion of commitment. And I guess I could get behind the idea of thinking Tommy was one way and then having things end up that he was so totally the opposite.

But other than discovering that a great guy could be good and a girl could find true love in the big city, I wasn't quite sure what the point of the movie was. Was it just to pull a sort of switcheroo by teasing us with the idea that one guy was good only for it to end up that that it's the other guy who is good. I'm not sure Tommy's character grows, as they say, so I'm not sure anything else was learned.

What do you think the point of the movie was?

I'm not sure it had a point other than the fact that the narrator never learned his lesson. People aren't always what they seem and just because we inherently trust someone doesn't mean we should.
