I didn't want to hate on it, cause it seems like a nice effort, but just cause the kids made dinner doesn't mean you want to eat it.
seriously, this is bland, boring filmmaking. bad acting, bad writing. I'm 20 minutes in and about ready to give up.
I liked it. I didn't find it bland or boring at all and really enjoyed the dialogue and the way the characters interacted with each other. Despite how dysfunctional they were, I would want to hang out with them.
Although the clothes shopping with Darryl and Andrea Martin was kinda weird.
I thought it was a pretty original idea of the couple doing some gradual break up. Never heard of that one before as a plot. The acting and story were done well also.

I've been on an independent film kick recently & I've come to realize that they hire their friends for a movie. So EVERY line of dialogue is hilarious to them but not so interesting to viewers
