IMDB lists only two episodes.

It's because they list each series as a separate entity, not a continuing series.
They do the same with things like Prime Suspect.

Also it doesn't matter how many episodes they add it'll still be the worst Cop show ever made.

My wife had read the books and loved them. I hadn't read the books and came at it as a fan of (far too many) cop-dramas. We watched the first one, this one, and then started the second one, looked at each other and just laughed. The casting for her is so far removed from the descriptions in the book. That's not a problem many shows take characters from books and change them. I hated it because the female lead is just appalling.

If you want a marathon, dip your toe into the first one, it's bearable, the story is OK, the acting isn't. Ciaran Hinds is wasted on this. My wife's thoughts were "She's far too good looking (tarty - was the word she used) and he isn't good looking or young enough". It verges on creepy.

If you want a marathon try, if you haven't already, I'm sure you must have done

Foyles War
Silent Witness
Shetland
Jonathan Creek
Lewis / Morse / Endeavour
DCI Banks
The Bletchley Circle
Line of Duty
Happy Valley
Red Riding
Case Sensitive
Wire in the Blood
Midsomer Murders

Not all of them perfect by any means (although Foyle is just about perfect) But all a darned sight better than this tosh. Most of the pages for any of the above have a thread of "I Loved this, what else should I watch" Above Suspicion NEVER appears on any of those lists. If you are a veteran of the types of shows above, then my apologies for teaching granny to suck eggs, watch above suspicion, just to remind yourself how good the others were...

I love Foyle's War and you are right, it is just about perfect. I also rather liked Blue Murder and Murder City although they had a bit more flash than I like. The Bletchley Circle needed a bit more energy to it. Midsomer Murders wasn't half bad.
