this documentary makes him look like a drug addict

i honestly thought they spent way too long looking into his syrup drinking. it's not a massive part of who he is so why are they putting so much emphasis on it?

Because carrying around a cup full of cough syrup to swig on, then writing songs about it, is unsual to most people?

unusual, yes, but i think the syrup was over played. i mean not one question was asked about weed, not one comment was made on it except in the first minute, and he smoke WAY more than he drank, and he raps about herb way more than he raps about syrup.

Maybe because it is unusual for your everyday Joe it was focused on more, but I think there's more sides to Wayne much more interesting than just the guy who mixes cough syrup and a&w and then records a love song to said cough syrup.

in fact the VH1 behind the music was more infromative about the artist and his process than this doc, not to say i didn't enjoy the film, but if it was about me i'd want it re-edited as well.

Of course giving a few intervies to the filmaker (or anyone and have it in the doc) may have been more helpful than blasting his music and mothing the words while staring into the camera.

No real history of the man, no insights to his past music, and no deep analysis of him or what selling 1 mill in the first week really meant. no outside source material (pre recorded interviews, news reports) other than the Youtube vid and that was all about (surprise, surprise) him taking syrup

Here was a chance to present him as an artist, and he came out mote like a charismatic rapper with a odd drug of choice, which is why this wasn't released.
