I gave up trying to understand this about 30 mins in, and then actually enjoyed it in a surreal way. My subtitles were put together by somebody who obviously speaks no english so maybe I missed a lot, but it seemed to be like 3 movies jumbled up into one.
Any Russian speakers out there watch it and understand it?

My subtitles were good, but I still didn't understand a thing. Names and characters were brought up without explanation or introduction. Things were referred to without any hint as to what they were. Arbitrary/vagues names, references, characters, scenes, and dialogue was plenty, and thus the film made little to no sense at all. What was it all about? I couldn't tell you, not for all the money in the world. It may have been a retelling of Little Red Ridinghood for all I know.

It didn't seem overly complex to me. :-)

I've just watched it. It was professionally subtitled, but the movie was still a shallow, boring and incomprehensible mess with no redeeming qualities. I only finished it because I'm a Sci-Fi fan and it was only 90 minutes long.
