Seriously? Dude knows that his staff members are doing this, and he agrees to keep it a secret? That's a HUGE ethical violation! They should be fired, and he could lose his credentials for covering for them.

I liked the show up until that point. That was completely ridiculous and unrealistic. A resident should know better. Sure, I know she was coming on pretty strong, but a person in a normal mental state should have some better control than that!

I know it's tv, but I thought they were at least trying to be realistic in their portrayal of what could happen in a psych ward. Obviously not.

Again with the "that is so unrealistic" stuff.

Yeah, because a doctor sleeping with a patient and another doctor covering it up would never happen in real life. You are completely right. Totally unrealistic, absolutely. (sarcasm)
Besides, maybe it'll come up in a future episode. The black doctor is always looking for dirt on other people, maybe this will be it.
Give me a break with that "unrealistic" stuff.

You know I kind of originally thought like you did... but the more I thought about it... I don't really think it's an ethical violation or that they could get in trouble for sleeping with a relative. A patient, yeah.. but not a relative of one.

I wouldn't be shocked though if this didn't come back and isn't something they'll use for a continuing story line.

It's definitely an ethical violation for licensed counselors to sleep with a patient or a patient's partner. It can result in a license revocation. I can't imagine why it would be so different for psychiatrists.

hey the old washed up doc is banging the young punk so why not have everyone bang everyone. i mean isn't that realism at its core values. what a tramp letting that guy maul her in the hospital and in the changing room. talk about desperate.
