I just read that the actor who played him passed away on September 29. Sorry if this is old news, but I just found out. When I saw that a different actor was playing the role of Padre Anselmo, I suspected that the original actor was sick or had died but did not really find out until today. I have gotten used to the new priest but I do miss Miguel Corcega as Padre Anselmo. May he rest in peace.

Yes, I remember hearing this news and it was very sad! From what I understand he was extremely well respected in the acting community. I didn't know much of him but, I really enjoyed his portrayal of Padre Anselmo too. May he rest in peace.

Unfortunatelly, both actors who portrayed him are dead by now... RIP both:)
