REVIEW - Big disappointment!!!

I started watching this on You Tube due to the great cast I knew from before. Beatriz Aguirre, Sherlyn, Laura Zapata, Helena Rojo, ect. And the plot was generally good, so I thought, It can't be that bad... Boy, was I naive!

At the very beginning it was obvious that Marichuy was dumb, but, ok, I thought, she'll become a lot smarter with time, but, wait, 100 episodes later, she was as dumb as in the first one. Although I find Maite Perroni hot and really good in portraying Marichuy, I also find the character annoying and way to dumb to be the leading lady.

As for Juan Miguel, having a rapist as a main hero really raises questions, now doesn't it? If somehow unbiased author with no tendency whatsoever of having typical black/white characters got hold of the story, it would be very interesting to see what happens. BUT, in this case, they've decided to make Juan Miguel yet another typical soap stud/cheater/caring doctor we've seen over and over and over... regarding the fact he RAPED HER! And later on in series no one even mentions it?? Not even Marichuy, or her mother or Onelia??!!! They all act like in one of those typical soap situations where a guy gets drunk and some b. secuces him. What he's done is worse than what all other so called villains have done. And writers clearly don't see it that way.

The chemistry between the two leads is believable and they work good together, although their characters act stupid and they have split-up numerous times for nonsense! Come on, Marichuy, if you could forgive him that he raped you, you can forgive him kissing another chick.

Having the character/s of Blanca and Yvette, played by Maya Mishalska, was a good idea. The whole split personality was really cool, BUT I thought that she was really trivialised (especially the whole so called 'trial') and underused and removed way too soon.

Too much introductions of new villains with the same plot intention (to seduce one of the leads). They should have kept Viviana and Estefania through the whole series and not introduce another vixens with soft spot for Juan Miguel.

Only charcaters I found well done were Onelia and Cecilia, although Onelia was a bit caricaturided at the beginning and Cecilia's love for Marichuy over Estefania should have been more explored instead of just some 'unknown feelings'. Of course that counts, but not only that. Onelia's changing was good and not too soon, that was ok.

Some additional characters and love subplots were unnesessary, but not more than in usual soaps.

Fast foward scenes with Candelaria and co. were really too childish and annoying as well.

My rate for the series would be 4.5/10. It wasn't THAT bad, I've seen a lot worse, BUT it was a lot worse that I thought. Shame, it had a lot of potential and more originallity than I've seen in a while, but they've made it too long not to mention how stupid was the part where Marichuy goes blind and doesn't recognize Juan Miguel. I'm not even sure a 5 year old would buy that. Too bad!

What? Really? Than who did and how did they explain that??

Then how on earth did that become her worst nightmare and moreover, I know Marichuy is supposed to be thick, but how clever must you be to know the definition of intercourse??
But that kinda explains Juan Miguel as a nicer guy, and more positive reactions by others towards him in second part.
