Who is Baruchel and WHY is he even in this film?

Avid movie fan and have no clue who this guy is and why he was given basically a co-starring role in this film? Maybe he really is Rogan's buddy and he thought Baruchel needed a ?ittle career boost...but a major character? Why??

No clue who he is? Million Dollar Baby? Knocked up? He's obviously friends with these guys and it was a bunch of friends who got together and did a movie.

They are all friends, but he is one of the lesser knowns. This is why he plays the unknown friend because most people don't know who he is.

The movie is based on a short film (its an extra on the Bluray) "Seth and Jay Versus the Apocalypse"

A better question might be how Emma Watson got involved.

You're trying to trick me into giving away something. It won't work.

He was also in The Sorcerer's Apprentice, with Nicholas Cage, and he's been in a couple of rom-com's. I think he's awesome. He's one of my favorite actors.

He was awesome in Goon.

Hi qtpi1969,

Thanks for asking this question about Jay Baruchel.

Jay Baruchel is a 32-year old actor from Ottawa, Canada. He's played supporting roles in Almost Famous, The Rules of Attraction, Million Dollar Baby, Tropic Thunder, and Knocked Up. This is the End is one of Jay's first lead roles.

If you use the IMDb search box at the top of the page, you can find detailed filmographies for people in front of the camera and behind the camera of movies and TV shows. It's pretty handy- it also gives biographical information.

Thanks,

Jay Baruchel co-produced the movie. He was the one giving out roles, not the other way around.

Yes, because EVERY producer on a film determines who gets which role. Ffs.

'Then' and 'than' are different words - stop confusing them.

If you don't know who he is, you're not as avid a movie fan as you want to believe.

Also, you're on *beep* IMDb. You couldn't look him up?
