extraordinary measures vs. blind side

the commercials are comparing the two, IMDB ratings clearly say blind side all the way, so is this any good?

I like 'The Blind Side.'

I like 'Extraordinary Measures' better. I've seen it 4 times now. Based on a true story. It's one of the best films I have ever seen.

IMDB ratings include tons by people who haven't even seen the film. That's why the IMDB and RottenTomatoes ratings are wildly misleading and inaccurate. Some people just don't like the idea of Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford in a non-action film. Some people just rate films based on what critics say--most of whom are cynics. Some people just rate films based on box office numbers. Some people think a film opposes their political viewpoint so they rate it low. Some people are just plain mean-spirited and cynical. All without seeing the film.

For a more accurate rating, try CinemaScore which asks people to rate the film as they leave the theater. The CinemaScore rating for 'Extraordinary Measures' is 'A-' which is the highest audience rating since 'Avatar.'

You can also try a site where only people who've bought a ticket to the film can review it. On those sites, 'Extraordinary Measures' is one of the highest rated films.
