Cheap Remake....

I must say i was really dissapointed once i watched the movie for the first time. Saw the trailer a long time ago and was really looking forward to it. It´s just REALLY, but REALLY slow, and the ending was predictable and unsatisfying.

Also couldnt help myself think that it´s a cheap remake of a movie called Lorenzo´s oil made by nick nolte and susan sarandon (which is 10x Better). I remember that The first time watching lorenzo´s oil i must have cried like 5 times while this movie just didn´t. Must say that it´s also the result of brendan fraser´s acting which somehow just didn´t look convincing enough! Although the sickness might be different, can´t help feel the rest is all the same. All in all not that bad but if u really want to see a movie on the same subject watch lorenzo´s oil.

A disappointing formula movie that is a couple of notches above Movie of the Week caliber. Notwithstanding its being based on a true story, it couldn't have been any more paint-by-number. Even Harrison Ford (the only reason I finished it) couldn't make it rise above melodrama.

so if that movie makes you cry 5 times its good, if this movie did not make you cry, its bad ? that's your reasoning ? how flawed can your reasoning be ?

Its not a cheap remake but it did tread a similar path as Lorenzo's Oil and that was not a great film.

Its that man again!!
