Question for those who have seen it...

Can you please tell me if any family pets (cats or dogs) are killed or injured by this tiger? Thanks. filmklassik

reply

no.no innocent animals harmed

reply

Thanks, Pablo. That means I can watch it now. I don't mind when animal "villains" get killed (the shark in JAWS or the dog in CUJO, for example) but I really hate watching regular critters being killed or injured or even just terrorized onscreen.

Sigh....

It's all pretend. They are never harmed in the movie. If you can watch a movie with a vicious tiger maiming people but you are against it maiming cute little kitty or doggy then no offense there is something clearly wrong.

I can watch Al Pacino mowing down 400 humans in SCARFACE without ever batting an eye... no problemo... I must've seen it five or six times now. But under no circumstances could I ever watch OLD YELLER. Or even Walt Disney's THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY (2 dogs and 1 cat in constant jeopardy)

I make no apologies for this. It's just the way I am.

I guess we are just different.

That's okay, if all of us were the same life would be so boring.

Don't worry, the only housepet is the cat they used in a few scenes to stand in for the tiger. ( watch the paw to quilt square ratio when it jumps off the bed. Among other scenes.) And besides being either in a tiger stocking ( or to be fair maybe cgi'd ) the cat seemed fine.
