Just one question *SPOILERS*

I enjoyed the hell out of this movie, first off, so I'm not here to bitch about it or anything. It was pretty much exactly how I thought it'd be, maybe even a tiny bit better. The only thing I didn't get was near the end, when she faces off with it and she's holding the torch and the gun; it looks like she shoots at point blank range, yet it apparently. . .bounces off the tiger or something. What happened there?
I know I most likely just couldn't see what actually happened (I watched a pretty pixelly version online) but it's been annoying me since. Anyone know?
