If you're not specifically looking for a movie with lions/tigers, then I highly recommend Black Water and The Reef, both directed by Andrew Traucki. The former is about three stranded Australian tourists who are stalked by a crocodile and the latter is about four vacationing friends who are stranded in the ocean with a great white shark stalking them. I thought both were terrific, and it definitely made me wonder just how much better Burning Bright could have been if directed by Traucki.

Late answer, anyway my advice is Mamba (1988) http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0095126/combined
"Burning Bright" could almost be a remake of that one, with the tiger in place of the mamba... in the USA it should be known as "Fair Game", but i am not sure, being italian...
