I know it's set in Colombia but I heard Telemundo makes its actors adjust their accents to make it more neutral. and this series has non Colombian actors
It's absolutely a Colombian accent, and all of the actors (except for the Mexican ones, who are playing Mexicans) are, in fact, Colombian. If Telemundo is asking for a more neutral accent, they're not getting it. And I doubt that they have asked for it. However, what Telemundo has probably asked for is more neutral writing so that many of the idioms specific to one country are removed and the dialogue is easily understood by a diverse Spanish-speaking audience. Even then, the Spanish in this soap opera is still filled with many "Colombianismos."
