Silly- Serious- and Soapy...

Eye Candy- Dangerous themes- Sexploitation- but packaged in a Soap Opera format-

They do have some lessons, deeper themes, and characters do find room to gain and show strength. Backdrop is in small town Columbia- and the case of school girl innocence and Drug trade clashing. The focus is on young girls seeking easy cash by trading themselves to Drug Lords at parties for Cash. Not to spoil- but through a long series of actions- a girl has to wrestle with her life, family, boyfriend, and decision to stay in school- versus the ability to profit and feel glamorous by seducing and hooking up with drug lords for cash- and looks. The notion that to be happy and successful with the seedy life- is shown by characters desire to have breast implants- to be more liked, and make more money. Silly at times- but always the feel of the effects of socio-economic problems with some countries over run by Drug cartels and the tragic trickle down effects it has on the next, younger generation... Decent show- picks up pace around episode 15-20...
