Easily the worst movie I've seen in....maybe ever

Just made the mistake of watching this movie on cable this weekend. It wasn't even my cable so I (thank god) paid absolutely nothing for it, other than the time I misspent watching it. I had heard of the stuff about casting Emma Stone for a half Asian character blah blah blah. Now that I've seen it, I'm amazed. Of all the things wrong with it, I wonder why so many people picked on this one thing. Yes, it's idiotic but it's like picking out one of a hundred plus problems and talking about nothing else.

Best guess is that the studio bought up some of Cameron Crowe's junk scripts unread, attached him as director as well and it was a chance for these actors to spend a couple months in Hawaii all expenses paid and they just piled on. The dialogue and scenes make no sense. There is a barely discernible plot but there is no tension about it because the scenes and the dialogue don't have much if anything to do with it.

This movie is awful. If you see a thread stating otherwise, you are being hard core trolled. Easily the worst film for any of these actors and Cameron Crowe.

It certainly not the worse film ever.

It might not even be the worse Cameron Croew film. Elizabethtown was also horrible.

It's that man again!!

If you will notice, I say its the worst file I have seen. You can't argue that as I am the sole arbiter of films I have personally seen.

"Elizabethtown was also horrible." So it was "also" horrible-therefore you admit Aloha was horrible too. I would be afraid then of what you consider the worst movie ever. Maybe Stealth (2005)? or Earth vs. the Spider (2001)or Star Trek: Of Gods and Men (2007). We all have different ideas of "the worst" but I think we can agree Aloha is very bad.

I thought it was enjoyable. 6/10. I would give it a 6.3/10 if the rating system allowed that. It's not even the worst movie I've seen in the last week; "Sisters" has that honor.

I just finished it. It was pretty bad, but I've seen worse. Waaaaaaay worse. But it's not going on my list of movies I'd watch again.

I didn't really know about the movie or characters before I watched it. I was mostly impressed with the cast and director at the time, and I was sold on that alone.

I honestly didn't think about the fact that Emma Stone was playing a bi-racial character, and I didn't let it distract me from watching the film. It's a good thing I don't read message boards until I've finished watching a movie.

I'm a fan of Emma Stone, but "Allison Ng" was such a pest and quite annoying. It seemed like she was trying too hard and there was absolutely no chemistry between her and "Brian" (Bradley Cooper).

Best scene is with "Grace" and "Brian" at the studio at the end of the film. This was beautifully done and very touching.

If I was hanging out with someone and they wanted to watch the movie, I'd give it a try. But I wouldn't choose to sit down on my own accord to watch it again.

I rated it 6/10, but it was really on that fine line of being a 5/10.

OP, I have to agree, the film was total junk, not surprised that it bombed at the box office
