Emma Stone's performance

was pretty bad.

It was so bad I really started questioning her acting ability, so I looked at her filmography and noticed I preferred her performances in comedies like Easy A, Crazy, Stupid Love, and Zombieland. She has a breezy, sweet charm that's endearing and very watchable. As for the dramas, I thought she was good in The Help and Birdman (even though I could barely watch that movie).

In this movie she was just awful. She was stiff and awkward and her angry scenes were hysterically bad, stomping around like a little kid - really over-dramatic when she didn't need to be.

I like her so I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt. She realized right away she was in a *beep* movie and decided to ham it up and just enjoy her time in Hawaii. I hope.

AMB-- I was thinking the exact same thing but I have since decided that it was her character (the writing of it) that was so bad! I think she probably played it right but it was a stupid/annoying/weird character so it was a no-win scenario...

Though I think it would still be accurate to say that she overacted. But that would also be the Director's fault, don't 'cha think?

She's incredibly annoying in this movie, completely agree.

Completely agree. Found her so annoying! I really couldn't take her and her stupid mannerisms.

Joey F. Jeremiah, that's F for pharmacy.

I didn't like her in this either. I think it's probably the script and direction she was given. The whole movie sucked.
