Should be called 'Watch Angelina Jolie be worldly, rich and beautiful'

I refuse to acknowledge this as one of Angelina's movies. She's a great actress, and Johnny is obviously a good actor but this movie underutilized their talents. The script was ridiculous, the dialogue especially was trite.

This video alone showcases more of Angelina's talent than "The Tourist" could even begin to realize. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBh7x-CljQ0

But remember, for most of the movie, she was wearing the clothing and jewelry Pierce bought for her and left in the hotel room closet. That is how he wanted her to look.

She looked bizarre in this movie indeed.

You hit the nail on the head - it WAS like watching a perfume commercial for over an hour! I like Jolie, but the movie was rather boring and she just didn't have anything to do except waltz along and watch everyone turn to admire her beauty & lust after her - doesn't make for exciting cinema, for me at least. I really liked the line towards the end, when the bad guy has a knife against her face and says something like "You'll find the world is much less kind to an ugly woman".

Exactly right! You hit the nail on the head!

What we have here is failure to communicate!

Okay, that was funny.

Haha..yeah. agree.

I don't recall ever seeing her look worse. Every person she passes in the movie gapes at her like she's Helen of Troy, yet she's: a) showing her age, and b) incredibly thin and drawn, to the point even her hands and wrists are sunken and the bones are pronounced, c) coated in makeup like a clown.

She is 34 in this movie not 60.

I agree..
this was a waste of a movie.
Jolie just prancing around....
and the twist was hilarious.

Haha very true, although didn't you find it weird how at the beginning of the film when shes walking to the cafe she is dressed well and strutting however very few people seem to look in her direction, they just walk past her as if they didn't notice but as soon as she gets on the train - and from the onwards - everyone is suddently looking at her.

the ball scene was especially ridiculous, there were many beautiful woman there in amazing dresses yet they were all - men AND women - turning around to look at her as if royalty had just walked in!

don't get me wrong, she did look gorgeous but that scene was just too OTT.
